What is Yoga?
Yoga is the balance between the new and old.

The exploration and the letting be.

In its modern guise, modern postural yoga is a reasonably new discipline. It certainly does not resemble that which was practised in millennia past. My foundation is in Hatha Yoga which was built upon the teachings of non-dual Shaiva tantra, of which I am a practitioner.
Over the years my personal practice has changed greatly and my teaching style reflects this. I now spend more time playing with shapes, opposites and feeling into the movement and exploring the Self, rather than trying to force myself into shapes that were not designed for this female body. My style is also informed by somatics and influenced by my yoga therapy training.
In each hour long session you can expect, a warm welcome.
A settling of the body. Supported with props and/or a chair.
Movement adapted to your body and level of fitness/health.
Breath Gym; adopting the functional breath.
Relaxation & yogic sleep.
I work 1:1 on zoom.
I will be offering in-person sessions near Salisbury, Wiltshire in Spring 2024.
