
Yoga 4 Refugees
I run once weekly yoga sessions for displaced persons on zoom.
It does not replace professional mental health or medical care. However, it serve as an additional support tool.
All sessions are Free.
Why Yoga?
Yoga can be practiced by any body. There is no right or wrong way to do it.
It offers tools to self-care and self-support and serves as an opportunity to connect with others.
How yoga may be of benefit
It can support down-regulation of the nervous system. Bringing greater awareness of the present moment
It can support with better sleep and lead to more easeful movements.
What to Expect
5 minutes for check-in & introductions
30-40 minutes of movement, breathing & rest. This may be standing, seated or lying down.
There will be lots of options & adaptations.
20 minutes for questions/shares in community
What is expected of you
Please arrive promptly.
Please leave your camera on & try to be in a space where you will not be disturbed (not always possible!)
Please bring blankets & cushions.

The spoken language is English

If there is enough interest from men, a men-only group can be created.
